Each apprentice undergoing apprenticeship training in designated/ optional trade in an establishment shall be trainee and not a worker

It is not mandatory or legally required for employers to pay contributions toward Provident Fund (PF) for apprentices
An apprentice engaged under the Apprentices Act, 1961 is not counted for coverage under the ESIC Act, 1948 (Section 2 (9) (1) )
Stipend reimbursement up to 25%, max ₹1,500/month for NAPS and ₹4,500/month for NATS per apprentice
Expenditure incurred on apprentices can be accounted for and shown as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) spending
